Classic racer joins the Nintendo Music collection of tunes

A new soundtrack has been added to Nintendo Music. This week’s update brings us the classic Nintendo 64 racing title, F-Zero X. This soundtrack is now available for streaming in the app.

Ready to listen? You can jump straight in and access the new soundtrack directly here (you’ll need the app for this).

The F-Zero X album features 20 tracks that cover 38 minutes worth of classic audio. There’s also an extended playlist, which features 15 of these songs ready to be extended.

If you haven’t played with this extension feature of the app, it allows songs to be played for longer, extending them to 15, 30, or even 60 minutes. It’s the perfect background noise for work, study, or simply walking. Or running … you know, if that’s your thing.

Nintendo Music launched on October 30. Since then, we’ve been treated to at least one new soundtrack every week, starting with Super Mario Bros. Wonder and Donkey Kong Country 2. Last week brought us the nostalgia of Wii Sports, and now F-Zero X joins the collection. While the selection seems slightly limited for now, we’re happy to see a constant stream of new releases every week.

You can check out the Nintendo Music launch trailer below to get a feel for the app. We’ve been playing with it over the past few weeks and discussing on our weekly podcast.

Have you been using the new Nintendo Music app? What do you think? We’d love to know your favorite soundtrack so far!
